Pizza 73 is a well-managed 'chain' that operates mostly in Western Canada. One of the first to have a central call-centre and offer internet ordering (for the western canadian area), although they have decent pizza, I was more interested in trying their Buffalo Breaded Side'O'Wings this time.
[PICTURE COMING SOON]
Average size wings (7cm/2.75inches long) with about an average amount of meat on them (these ones seemed a little 'skinny'), they come with a ranch dipping sauce and baby carrots on the side (tied up in a plastic bag if you have them delivered). The breading is indeed a 'light' coating, covering the wings but definitely not a thick, puffy blanket, if you are looking for that.
The breading had a little spice in it (not very hot), it was the sauce (that had drifted to the bottom) that had the 'kick'. An orange, 'American Style' sauce (I call it that, as it is a buttery, lightly thick, "Buffalo" style sauce), it brought the heat in a suitcase and when it opened it up, it wore it well. The spices within the breading had only the lightest of spicy-ness, then the Buffalo Sauce (swished up from the bottom) walked up and gave me a 'cuff on the mouth. Decent heat that would make the average person's nose run in about 4-5 wings. Using the ranch dressing, you'll feel a bit more 'at home' if you are visiting from The States and order these Buffalo-style wings. Well done, 73.
